WIC Staff

You play a vital role in helping mothers successfully breastfeed! Since a major goal of WIC is to improve the nutritional status of infants, you:

  • Provide education and guidance to pregnant and postpartum women about breastfeeding.
  • Encourage women to breastfeed for as long as possible.
  • Provide appropriate support for the breastfeeding dyad, especially at critical times for breastfeeding success.

This section includes resources for staff to use to help moms meet their breastfeeding goals.
